Emirates to Introduce Free Starlink Wi-Fi Across Entire Fleet

Emirates is set to roll out free Starlink Wi-Fi across its entire fleet starting in 2025. The upgrade begins with the Boeing 777 aircraft and will later expand to all wide body jets. Passengers will get fast and reliable internet with simple one click access, making in flight connectivity easier and more efficient.

Free High Speed Wi-Fi Begins in 2025

Emirates will introduce free Starlink Wi-Fi on its aircraft from 23 November 2025. The rollout begins with the Boeing 777 fleet and will continue until mid 2027. In addition, the airline plans to upgrade 232 wide body aircraft in total.

Each Boeing 777 will receive two Starlink antennas. Each A380 will receive three. As a result, passengers will experience stronger coverage and faster speeds throughout the flight.

Simple One Click Access for All Passengers

Passengers will enjoy a simple and convenient connection process. In fact, access will be available with just one click. No payments or membership will be required. Furthermore, the new system will support streaming, video calls, browsing, gaming, and work tasks. It works on personal devices as well as on seatback screens.

Emirates and Starlink Share Their Vision

Sir Tim Clark, President of Emirates, said the airline wants to offer the most reliable digital experience in the sky. He added that strong connectivity helps travellers stay productive during long flights.

Meanwhile, Starlink expressed confidence in the partnership. Chad Gibbs, Vice President at SpaceX, said the technology can deliver stable internet even at high altitudes. Therefore, passengers can expect consistent performance on every route.

Live TV Through Starlink

Emirates will also introduce Starlink powered live TV. At first, the feature will be available on personal devices. Later, by late December 2025, it will also appear on seatback screens. This addition will expand in flight entertainment options even further.

Large Retrofit Program

To support this major upgrade, Emirates will retrofit about 14 aircraft each month. In addition, the program is part of the airline’s wider effort to modernize its fleet. As a result, passengers will benefit from improved digital services for years to come.

A New Standard in In Flight Connectivity

With free high speed Starlink Wi-Fi, Emirates is preparing to set a new global standard for in flight connectivity. Ultimately, travellers will enjoy fast, simple, and reliable internet on every Emirates flight.
